The Old Manali :

Hidimba Temple:
Locally known as Dhungari Temple, the architecture of this temple is totally unique and built in a pagoda style. This temple is located amidst the snow-covered hills of Manali. It opens from 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM. There is no entry fee. This temple lies only 2 kilometers away from the main city center of Manali
Solang valley:
Getaway for the adventure seekers, is the most popular destination for adventure sports. During winter, this valley is fully covered by snow and becomes the perfect place for skiing. 14 kilometres to the north west of the main town of Manali.
Paragliding:
Paragliding is the most pursued activity here in solang valley. This is the paradise of adventure sports lover. Gliding at a higher altitude over the hills makes your lifetime best moments. The panoramic view of view valley gives you the goosebumps. January to May or October to December is the best time for this great activity.
Rohtang Pass:
Rohtang pass is an experience of nature in one of its rawest form possible, amongst mountain peaks covered with snow, breathtaking view and magnificent and sprawling landscapes and views.
Located at a distance of just 51 kilometres from Manali, Rohtang Pass can be reached only by road. The pass is located at a massive height of 3978 metres
River Rafting:
River rafting in the River Beas. It’s an exciting adventure of life time experience. The section of rafting starts from a small district called Pirdi and it flows through various locations like Bajaura, Sarabai, Bhuntar, Shamshi, Mohal, Raisol and Katrain. Rafting in Kullu Manali usually starts at 10:00 AM and takes about 1.5 hours
Jogini Waterfall:
For those who wants to go wild !
Jogini Waterfall is located in the beautiful Valley of Manali, about 3 kilometres away from the bustling town and around 2 kilometres away from the famous Vashisht Temple. It takes about 3 hours to climb to the Jogini Waterfall, so make sure to carry a camera to capture the mind stirring beauty of the location.

Best Time to visit:
March to June (10°C to 25°C): Summer time is the high time.The best season to visit as family vacation or friends gang trip to enjoy pleasant weather and perfect for all sorts of outdoor activities .
July to September: 10-16 °C Monsoon Season,
is not a good time to visit . There is a chance of heavy rainfall and landslides and there may be no availabilities to outdoor activities.
October to February: 5-1°C Winter Season
The winter starts setting in from October. December to January is the ideal time to enjoy the snowfall and the spectacular beauty of this place. Get yourself warm clothes and thermal wears to protect from the chilly winds.
How to Reach:
By air:
Kullu-Manali Airport
The nearest airport is Kullu-Manali Airport which is 10 km apart from Kullu. Flights are available to and from Delhi, Chandigarh and Jubbar-hatti (Shimla).
By Road :
The best and most cost effective way to reach Manali is by road. Roads connect Manali to diffrent places including Delhi (540km), Chandigarh (305km), Dehradun (227km) and Ambala (370km). There are several private buses as well that connect the hill station with different part of the state.
By train:
Jogindernagar railway station is the nearest station to Manali that connects the hill station with several important cities of the country. Chandigarh and Ambala are other options to reach Manali by rail. From the railheads, one can get several mode of transportation including taxi and bus at reasonable cost.
